Registration
Registration will take place before each competition and will be based at the gymnastics reception, this will be signposted.
Please ensure that your gymnasts arrive 30 minutes before the stated registration time.

All timing shown in the program is estimated and could run longer or shorter than currently shown.

Spectator fees are paid on the day of the event, upon entry into the gym.
London Gymnastics events are now cashless – Except WAG spectator entry charge
London Gymnastics will now only accept card payments for, Certificates and badges, Regional Kit payments etc.

Seating will be located around the floor/performance area. This will be on ground level.
Spectator tickets can be purchased from Heathrow Gymnastics Club on the day of the event.

Food and drink
The café will be open to selling cookies, cakes, chocolates, crisps, and hot and cold drinks.
​
Toilet and changing facilities
Toilets and changing facilities are available on-site, including baby changing facilities.
​
Car parking
On-site car parking is available – Free of charge.
​
Medical Provision
Anyone requiring First Aid assistance should speak to the Competition Organiser, at the Control Table. It is recommended that all coaches have a First Aid kit with them for minor injuries.

Health and Safety
The health and safety and welfare of all participants (gymnasts, coaches and officials) is the primary consideration. All BG policies and procedures will be rigorously applied with regard to health, safety, welfare and Safeguarding and Protecting Children.
​
Code of Conduct – As defined by:-
British Gymnastics National Technical Committee Code of Conduct.
Women's Artistic Judges Code of Conduct.
WTC, acting through its Committee, reserves the right to refuse any entry and disqualify an official, judge, gymnast or team at any time if they do not comply with BG regulations.

Mobile Phones and Tablets
Gymnasts and coaches must NOT use mobile phones or any other electronic communication devices including tablets, to make calls, take photographs or be used for other forms of communication during the competition.
​
Competition Arena Etiquette
Please ensure that gymnasts and coaches are using the seating area provided when on the competition floor. Please ensure you listen to the compare and march to the next apparatus when instructed.
​
Parents at Events
All Clubs take responsibility for the actions of their parents. No parent is allowed in the competition arena to approach either active Coaches or Judges.
Should this occur, the immediate expulsion of the related club’s gymnast(s) from the competition will be implemented.

Photography:
By entering an LG Event, there is an acceptance that the participant may be photographed and published by LG.
Photos & videos may only be taken and used in accordance with the BG Child Protection Policy.
Photos may not be used, distributed or copied for commercial purposes.
Flash may not be used at any time during the event.
The Event Organiser may at any time in his or her absolute discretion, direct that photos shall not be taken.

Spectators:
Spectators MUST NOT go onto the floor area or approach judges or coaches during the competition. If this rule is broken, Flying Angels Gymnastics Club reserves the right to ban the offending spectator from future competitions. The gymnast will not be affected by this.
It is important that access to the ‘Officials area’ (judges, scoring, music etc.) is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Emergencies
As part of the event, everyone attending must adhere to the emergency procedures and follow the professional guidance of the competition organiser and members of staff from the venue. Below is a brief guide to the venue emergency procedures.
In the event of the emergency alarms sounding please evacuate via one of the following routes:

The meeting point is within the car park (side of the building)
Coaches are to ensure all their gymnasts are kept together until registered and then handed back to their responsible adult.
Terms and conditions
By entering this competition your club is agreeing to the rules, regulations, and standards.
Failure to comply may see your club excluded from the competition without a refund.

Gymnasts
Gymnasts:

All gymnasts must be Silver, Gold, Joint Gold or Life Members of BG and affiliated to London Gymnastics.

Clubs and coaches are responsible for the gymnasts during the competition. It is down to the coaches to ensure the gymnasts are dismissed safely. Parents ARE NOT permitted to go onto the floor area

No jewellery, body piercing or adornments of any kind are permitted.

No chewing gum is allowed at any phase of the competition

Wear appropriate gymnastic clothing during warm-up and competition

Be available for the march-on at the correct time

Be available for presentation ceremonies in competition attire

Be prepared to compete at a time other than the advertised time

No mobile phones or any other electronic devices including tablets to make calls, take photographs or videos are allowed

Handguards, body bandages and wrist wraps are permitted; they must be securely fastened, in good repair and should not detract from the aesthetics of the performance. The bandage must be as COP rules

Competition
Medal Presentation
Presentations and Awards:
1st, 2nd & 3rd place will receive a medal in each category. 4th – 6th place will receive a ribbon. (Guide 10 gymnasts)
Apparatus Medals will be awarded at Individual Competitions in each category/age group only. Compulsory Levels will be awarded Certificates and NDP Grades will be awarded Certificates and NDP Badges.
Certificates for Execution
Bronze Silver and gold certificates will be awarded to gymnasts at individual competitions who achieve minimal execution deductions on each apparatus based on set criteria.
Individual Apparatus Medals
Gold on each piece – minimum 3 gymnasts in the category Silver & Bronze – minimum 6 gymnasts in each category
Tie Break Rules
Tie-break rules as per FIG Regulations for competitions that are qualifiers for National Competitions.

Qualification and Regional representation at National Finals
-
Gymnasts may only represent the London Region to which their club is affiliated, at any one time within a discipline.
-
Gymnasts and Coaches will be selected according to the rules and will represent the London Region.
-
Only gymnasts not in the London Team and have qualified to the BG regulations and rules may represent their Club.
-
They will only have one opportunity to qualify for National Finals.
-
Gymnasts may only complete in ONE grade/level per competition year.
-
The minimum age for entry to National BG events is 9 years in the year of competition.
​
Gymnasts are not allowed to move back to a lower grade for any reason.
​

Directions
By Car:
​
From the M3;
1. Continue on A316 past Junction 1 of M3.
2. Take the third exit signed Feltham A312.
3. Go across traffic lights, bear right at the next set of lights and go over the bridge.
4. At the next set of lights turn right.
5. At the next set of lights turn right into Staines Road, A315.
6. At the next set of lights turn left onto Green Lane, after 1.5 miles you will see a football club on your left.
7. The Heathrow entrance is just after the football pitch.
From the M4;
1. At Junction 3, head for Feltham.
2. Go through the traffic lights, past a roundabout, and across the second set of lights.
3. After 100 yards, at the third set of lights, turn left onto Green Lane.
4. The Heathrow entrance is approximately 300m on the right, just past the International Trading Estate.

By Public Transport:
By Tube
(Hounslow West + 20 mins. walk)
1. Turn right out of the station and after 1-mile bear left into A30 at major junction fork.
2. After 1 mile, turn left at the first set of traffic lights and left again at the second set, turn left into Green Lane.
3. The Heathrow entrance is approximately 300m on the right, just past the International Trading Estate.

By Bus
(No. 423 from Hatton Cross towards Hounslow Bus Station)
1. Get off at Green Lane.
2. The bus stops outside the Gym entrance in Green Lane.
